2023 GR86 10th Aniv, GR Supra 6MT, GR Corolla MASTER THREAD

2023 GR86

4/4 - 2023 will have a 10th Anniversary Edition. The North American model codes are ZNBK6M for 6MT and ZNBL6T for 6A. At this time I do not have any details on features or the colours available. Expecting more info near the end of April.

4/6 - A preliminary ordering guide is viewable by dealers for the 2023 GR86, details on the special edition are not present. For regular models, it appears there will be no changes.

4/6 - (Canadian) Dealers are able to enter Sold Order Requests (allocation requests with customer names attached) for 2023 GR86 through the portal. Currently a request for a special edition CAN NOT be entered.

4/20 - Colour Code 0WCL is visible for the Special Edition. No description. Trueno Blue is 0WCH so I would guess it will be some sort of blue.

5/4 - Orange CONFIRMED, called "Solar Shift"

2023 GR Supra

4/4 - A manual transmission is confirmed for 2023, for North America the model for for 6MT is DB0D0M. The 6MT WILL BE AVAILABLE AS THE A91 EDITION or a standard 3.0 premium.

Available Colours;

0D01 - Absolute Zero
0D04 - Nocturnal
0D14 - Sparkling Copper Gray
0D05 Renaussance Red 2.0
0D13 - Portimao Blue
0D06 - Nitro Yellow
0D12 - Matte White A91 ONLY

2.0 only available in 0D01, 0D04, 0D05

A91 Edition Available in 0D12 or 0D14. It appears the A91 will be ONLY 6MT

The package "suffix" for the A91 Edition reads, "A91-MT Edition / Leather, Cognac Tan". So we can assume the interior will be Tan or have Tan accents.

4/18 - the model and package codes were removed from the portal. I guess we were not supposed to see...

GR Corolla

4/6 - I am able to make a fairly accurate guess that the line-off month is estimated to be September

6/21 - Packaging viewable for canadian dealers! screenshots of all packages below, no other info at this time

I really wonder how many manual Supras they will make. Knowing Toyota it won’t be very many and finding one will be close to impossible. Perfect recipe for the 6mt Supra to go for 80k

Usually goes up a bit each year.

Not very much though. It's roughly a few hundreds more than what I bought my 2013 at. Still a bargain at its price point in a niche market.

Because of the chip shortage, I've seen some as high as 38k. But I've also seen a few dealerships selling them at msrp to move them.

Yeah I’m more curious if we will see larger increases due to material shortages and inflation. Vw bumped up their Gti and golf r prices mid year.

That's what I was going to guess. Like <250. Though I could see something as low as 100 TOTAL being released. And yeah, $80-100K just because people will spend the money.

It's an exciting time for people who like cool, inexpensive Toyota sports cars... and the Supra.

You’ll probably be better off buying a used 2020 and do the manual swap. It’s been done with 100% OEM bmw parts for $12k. My guess is it will be even easier once there are parts diagrams on RealOEM.com of the manual Supra. My Indy BMW mechanic has done quite a few manual swaps on more recent BMWs, he says they go together like legos and then you just remap the ECUs. I wouldn’t be surprised if you can do it mostly yourself for ~6K.

For a manufacturer to only make 100 wouldn't even be worth the investment.
Granted the Supra may have earned a lot of its own flak, but to say they'd only release 100-250 is preposterous.

Agree. I think Toyota will be cautious and plan to build a few less than they think they can sell. I think actual demand will easily be 30% manual, so at least a few thousand cars. (That's not many.) Lots of people with a Supra today would have loved an MT. So with used car values so strong they'll be quick to swap.

Maybe dealer mark up. MSRP will be the same or minor premium over 3.0 Premium's "standard" pricing.
