No real good reason, just makes the car feel kinda old/cheap since my last two cars had it.

Carjackings are still a thing here, depending on the area.

I’ve spent almost 7 years driving my FRS with the doors unlocked, so annoying that they haven’t fixed this by 2022 yet. And no, I don’t want to manually lock them while I’m still inside. Ugh.

And the stupid shadow thing you get with the headlights. (premium)
Alright so I thought I was going crazy. Is there like a square black shadow on the driver side of the headlights kinda near the bottom?

The shadow is likely part of the high beam shutter. Turn the brights on and it should go away.

Interesting. Indeed the brights do make the little shadow box go away.

Last gen, I was able to use the back seats (not often) in a pinch to carry two passengers on a short drive. Yesterday, I tried doing the same thing with the same two passengers on the 2nd gen but there was absolutely no room (seats seem to be bigger?)
Curious, can this gen still carry a full set of spare tires last the last gen? Wondering if the tighter fit in the rear seat affected that.

Yup! Both our cars are manual.

Yes, but barely. Not without the front seats in a hilariously scrunched up position.

Yes. You might need to move the passenger seat up a bit, but not the driver side.

The washer fluid tank has a dipstick... Never seen that before.

Just to confirm: This is only an issue with the lights that come on the higher trim package?

No, they all have it.

It's weird but not a huge deal, IMO.

It's the LED's anode bond wire I suspect. I'm surprised Subaru didn't mitigate somehow, but it's still a "cheap" car at the end of the day.

I just went looking for the OBD2 port today and it is in a MUCH better location than it was on the 2013s.

No more fumbling/feeling around under the dash. Not to mention the insecure feeling mounting.
