Thats terrible. Drugs/alcohol and driving dont mix, ever. Four other people were in that car and its likely no one spoke up. Stay safe out there friends...

I give close to no pity in this situation except for the passengers who did not have a say in this and were victims. Who the hell even let the kid drive the car? Really? Passenger ages ranging from 17-25. News reports said that alcohol may be involved. Anyone who's that stupid to lose control and handling of the twins and thinking about driving while drunk obviously do not have the matureness to drive it. It's people like this who raise our insurance prices and give these cars a bad name.

Am I the only one who noticed that they said there were 5 people in the car? Is there a full backseat I don't know about?

Bothered me so much that there was total of 5 people in it. So illegal...

I won't even be surprised if alcohol WAS NOT involved, I've been around idiots who do stupid crap like even this without influence of alcohol or drugs.

... but they did have a say.

1) 4 ejected = no seat belt
2) 5 people in a car with only 4 seat belts?
3) Get into a car with a potentially drunk driver, since alcohol was involved.

Maybe the driver is totally at fault here, but why would anyone ride in a car without having their seat belt on?

Well, people that never done any foolish things while they were young will never understand or they have forgotten once they were young and foolish. Yea its a dumb thing to do, and yes it was very irresponsible for the driver to put the rest of the passengers life in jeopardy, but a little bit of alcohol, cool car, friends, usually ends up in shit like this.

Hell I remember in college, cramming like 7 people in my Lancer to go hit a party up. I understand some of you are such non risk takers and these actions are out of the question (good for you, truly) but many of us has done some "dumb shit" while we were young, some get a way with it, some ends in tragedy.

I hope for a speedy recovery for these kids, and some will learn a valuable lesson after this.
