normal HPDE you get around 3 hrs to drive, when you break down all the groups and ground school. once again this would not be any type of official HPDE, but it would be possible to get instruction.

If this was held over a weekend (or a Friday or Monday) I would definitely be interested. $250 for that kind of track time would be worth a 6 hour drive for me

Just signed up for a track event at Palm Beach International Raceway with PCA on Saturday July 20. The event runs from about noon to 10 PM and dinner is included in the price. Solo drivers will drive at night under the lights and students during the daylight hours. Nighttime driving is cool during the summer months...

Do you have any more info on this? Just 86s that Saturday? I take shifter karts up there and it's a fun little track and I see all sorts of track days going on with different platforms like Bentleys and Ferraris so I was curious if this is an open day or just for 86 owners. I've been itching to get mine on the track!

It's for Porsche Club of America, but all marquees are welcome. Details on www.clubregistration.net. It's HPDE format, students with instructors or solo if you know the track and have been signed off with PCA.

I hope they don't turn me away from Solo, LOL. Since I have a few track days under my belt I registered in the yellow group. What do you think, Ramon? Also I'm looking for a set of wheels and tires. Any cheap wheels will do, if you know anyone selling or have a good contact let me know!

I don't know anyone offhand that has a set available. If you've never run with PCA they will default you to the green/student group. Yellow requires a check out ride at any new track.

I saw that. I may have another friend coming and might car share, so I sent them an e-mail asking for the blue group if possible. Still with an instructor, but that way I wouldn't have to split sessions.

Always loved that corner,. Only executed it well a few times, but loved the challenge. I feel bad about the impact that storm had on the history of that track and I really feel sorry for the corner workers stationed there in the future.
