Do you know what the exact spring rate options are? The cars definitely seem to have a fair amount body movement.

Most spec series at this level are going to go so far as spec-ing down to the spring rates (optional on occasion), brake pads, and brake fluid, camber min/max, tire min/max pressures etc. among other things.
Would be interesting to get a glimpse at their technical regulations.

Pretty solid racing this weekend! Also it looked like there were a couple thousand people watching the live streams which isn't bad.

I only caught part of race 1 but it was good battle for the top 3 in race 2.

I feel like I saw a post from Clemons that they could use something like 250-300-350 lb/in springs, but he wasn't 100% sure either.

They can adjust the swaybars as well.

As Kelsey said, I assume everything else is pretty standard.

That is pretty similar in rate to what the T4 guys like rice_classic are forced to run. I they have to run the Eibach kit, springs and sways.

Was only able to watch the second race, really enjoyed it. Reminded me of the older 86 Aus/New Zealand series which was always fun to watch.

I'll be very curious to hear what Gresham has to say post race. Talk about a tale of two races.

Besides the penalties he was clearly the fastest car out there in race one. In race 2 I have to think that something technical happened is why he dropped back and wasn't looking as clean.
Even with all of that I think he's going to be the car to beat in this series. Will Rogers would be my dark horse.

What a fun series and a great intermediate between MX5 and Carrera Cup.

Yeah the sudden change in competitiveness makes me think something was up with Gresham's car or tires.

BTW I was planning to watch a few minutes, but ended up watching most of both races. Much more entertaining than I was expecting! Constant battles for position throughout the order. I'll definitely try to watch the next races.

You can watch both races still on YouTube, I was at Sebring all weekend so I watched race #1 late on Saturday night and race #2 when I got home Sunday night.

Race #1 seemed like everyone was still in feeler mode. Race #2 was great. Lots of action all around and I feel the racing will only get better as the series goes on. Especially since these teams had less than a month before this race since the cars were delivered to them.

I think Gonzalez ran a smarter race for both, let the track come to him and didn't force the car until the time was right. Seemed like in both races not only was consistency and speed required, but some "race smarts" to get a good result. Seemed to me like Gresham felt some pressure as he was the expected favorite that may have caused some issues. He'll likely recover for NOLO, he knows how to win championships....

Posted a quick little recap on our theapexfiles instagram page. Nothing fancy, just trying to get more folks interested in the series.
