Those labels on the box look like exactly the same kind that Fujitsubo uses. Recognize them from the Fujitsubo axleback muffler I just purchased. Wouldn't be surprised if this was made by them.

Does this mean that you're back in a BRZ? Did you sell the WRX?

I’ve just installed the Perrin 2.5” resonated cat back from my Gen1.

It seems to have WAY more pops and crackles under deceleration. The Gen 1 didn’t do this at all for me (even with aftermarket Catted headers).

Is this part of the standard tune for the Gen 2? I don’t love it if I’m honest…

That's standard on the 2nd gen. Not sure if it can be tuned out with emissions restrictions, I assume yes.

Interesting. I have the Remark Elite which has a little baby resonator and two tiny mufflers out back and I don't notice any pops or crackles.

Also seems to be very dependent on how you downshift, at least with my Perrin 2.5” res v1. If you drag the clutch at all, you’ll hear pops but if you’re perfect with your rev-matches, there are no pops.

I was being followed for a few miles by a police officer who I could tell was looking for a reason to pull me over and every downshift I was like make it perfect, please don’t pop lol.

That’s interesting. I always rev match and it still pops. Gen 1 never did.

Also find it weird that when you’re at lower revs (say 6th at 80) and you push the clutch in, the revs raise slightly before dropping.

That is odd that yours pops even on rev matched downshifts. I wonder if there’s something different about the Aus vs US tunes in that regard.

I'm running the Remark Elite catback, and I get the pops on downshifts with rev-matching, usually 3rd-to-2nd shifts when slowing down before cornering. I don't think there would be a difference in stock tuning for different regions/markets. I'm in the US running 91 OCT gas (no 93 available in California).

I feel like it has to be technique-dependent then since OkieSnuffBox has the same Remark Elite catback as you and posted he doesn’t hear any pops. Also ACT86 has the same catback as me (assuming his is Perrin 2.5” resonated v1) and he apparently hears a lot more pops than I do.

I can consistently get pops if I drag my clutch at all on downshifts, but if I’m perfect with my rev-matching they disappear. I kind of like it that way actually since I can control the pops.
