So I tightened the headers up and no more leak! At least nothing that I can hear!

I also don't track mine and just do some spirited daily driving so I'm sure this tune will work well for you too.
Thanks for your response! You did the tune yourself, I take it? Is it fairly user-friendly, and where did you get it? Good for the street? I have a 60 mile round trip to work every day, so I rack up some miles, about 25 grand a year. Gas mileage...silly question?

And a question for JDL...is there also an OFT tune that you guys recommend?

They have a tune specific for UEL headers and yes, it's very user friendly. I don't want to jack the thread. There is plenty of info on these forums for the OFT tunes. I'm sure you would like it though for what you use the car for. I know I do and it really makes the potential of JDL's headers become a reality.

Just wanted to follow up to be fair and say i did get the headers, overpipe and stock front pipe installed today. Car sounds great with the Perrin catback & JDL header. Definitely can tell the car wants to rev to the moon now.

I tightened mine as well. So far so good up front. Put the header at 35 ft lbs on all nuts, lined up the overpipe as perfect as I could with Grimmspeed gaskets, but I realized I am an idiot and I'm running no donut gasket to mate the Invidia catted front pipe and midpipe of the Invidia N1.

$26 to replace that thing. Don't throw it away! Some aftermarket exhausts rely on it.

I actually have a tune for JDL UEL + JDL over pipe and catted front pipe with TRD intake for ecutek. I need to clean it up a bit but the car I did all my testing on when starting with ecutek was on that setup. We put down 200whp on a mustang dyno with 91 octane (~8-10% lower reading than a dyno jet). If you were wanting to pickup ecutek and do some testing for me so I can smooth up the map I would be more than willing to work something out for ya

I have still have it, as it is on the stock catback. The perrin catback doesn't use it, plus it has V-band clamps, which is great because you don't have to worry about leaks!

Yeah, I wish my entire exhaust was v-banded. Welded would be great too but with that overpipe section, I don't see that happening.

Well, the front pipe is finally in thanks to the guys over at @MAPerformance. They cut off the bracket JDL welded on. Ended up using the same bracket they use on their front pipe (and theirs actually fits!). Anyway they did a great job and i was very impressed with the welding work that Andrew did for me as well as fitting it on the car afterwards.

Will the EL headers fit with a vortech supercharger? And are there any dyno sheets for the EL Catted headers yet?
