Rear passenger tail started off like this

Progressed to this after three days

Took photo, video and emailed to my service writer. He asked more mileage and ordered the taillight October 1st.

Tail light assembly in stock October 4th.

Installed October 12th. Knock on wood.

I think it is safe to say...it all starts off with everyone's Right Rear Tail light...

OUCH! I told you to check for the lights! Sorry to hear you got it too. I would talk to the higher up at the dealership. My new set (2nd new set) seem good soo far but I'm not holding out too much when the real rain comes

There is a TSB issued already...at least there is for the BRZ.

Ya it's weird that people are having this as a recurring issue. I just had a new passenger-side taillamp installed (after about a month wait for it to arrive at the dealership) and the issue hasn't come back yet. When I went to the dealer I brought a printout of the TSB and showed the page where it listed the order to torque down the bolts and the torque specs. Maybe doing that would help make sure that the new lamps are installed correctly.

Should just take the lamps and torque them down yourself.

If the one they replaced are leaking just like the factory ones, I would just ask them to hand them over for me to torque them down at their shop in front of them.
Lol How can they keep getting it wrong?...It's not rocket science... Unless the lamps themselves are defective, then that would explain everything.

my tail light have been replaced a month ago and the water is back inside of it . my dealer told me it can be cause by a bad weld that when is too tight is brake the housing so they are waiting for tsb to replaced it again plus the body work to be done on it

My leaky passenger side TL was replaced a few days ago, just in time to go into winter storage.
Also had the pass. window squeal when wet issue addressed, they just squirted silicone on it after checking clearance which was found to be adequate. Idle issue, bog at low rev. not addressed as there was no TSB for it.

I just noticed this for the first time today. We had some heavy rain yesterday, and I parked the car in the garage last night to do some work on it. When I went up to the garage this morning, both tail lights had some condensation in them. There was more on the right side than on the left. Car # 2955, built in April.

Mine took about the same time to get in. I had both rears replaced on Thursday, I'll report again if I have any return issues.

I did give the service manager specific instructions to make sure the techs were "gentle" with the install and explained why there was an issue to start with.

Nope. Mine started with the driver's side.

Warrantied and replaced both sides. Replacement was scratched. Awaiting another replacement.
