4.88 is essentially 30lb ft of torque but in gearing instead. It just goes to show that all our engine needed was about 19-20%(182 tq) more torque(FA25) with the stock gearing.

The OP had more torque than a standard engine due to his other mods so the effect of the 4.88 is greater. |

I went with the 4.88s in my automatic and love it. Dropped 0 to 60 times by a full second and dropped 30 mph to 70 mph times by 1.5 seconds. And I can still get 30 mpg at 70 mph on the freeway.

Do you think the 5.29(extra 10%) would be a bit too over the top for the 6AT? Your setup is the main reason I'm into FD's now.

For me and my driving I think it would be to much. 2nd, 3nd, and 4th are pretty close together. I can run all my favorite short tracks in 2, 3, and 4th. There's a big spread from 4th to 5th and going to 5.29's would require the use of 5th on the track, which depending on the track might hurt. Can't say for sure having not needed 5th so far. And I have not ran any of the longer faster tracks like Big Willow with the FRS, only my Minibusa.

That's weird because when i'm going 130km/h its just beneath 4000rpms.
I only have the 4.56 swap. Go test again

It's good in 1 2 3 but gear ratio of 4 5 6 will drop acceleration after 4. I like 5.29 but it will make 1 gear alittle horrible in street. This mod is the best mod for changing driving feeling |
