Yeah man, in addition to some mods to make the car feel special to you... Seriously consider spending some of that on an epic road trip. You could go across Canada, all around the states. Those are fun times. Way better than running around town with an expensive set of wheels.

8k is a lot especially if you don't even know what you want. I would just by a cheap race prepped car to keep your frs from accelerated wear

Dont go FI. 8k isnt enough to do it properly with the supported mods IMO.
It entirely depends on what you want to do. If its go fast around a track.. 16x8's with full slicks AP Racing Sprint or Enduro kit Robi spec rad and oil cooler Flywheel + clutch Panel filter Track pipe Front pipe (without cat) Flash tune with 8k rev limit. Doing that will be faster around a track than getting FI and some supporting mods, and sticking within 8k budget |

turbo kit 5.5k-ish once you have stuff coated and shipped
install and cable/license/tune another 1.5k-ish clutch and oil cooler another 1.5k-ish so yeah, if you could get maybe another $500 or so I would say turbo for the win but everyone has their own choice and advice. just what I would choose based on where I'm at with the car. I'm sure you could go Innovate intercooled/Vortech charged and a Perrin oil cooler/new clutch and it might be a little cheaper, depends on your end goals

Actually it would be around the $8k mark depending on what you went with and how much power he is planning to add. The pistons are a and/or type of mod. You don't necessarily need to change them.

Wheels/Tires need to be first and will set you back $1500-$2500
If you care how the car looks you are going to want to lower it which can be $500-$3000 depending on your goals (cheap for looks, expensive for performance Wrap/dip will probably cost you $1000-$2000 assuming you plan to wrap it seems like you are more show than go so lets throw in cosmetics GT86 rep headlights -$500 Toms tails- $500 lip kit- $500-$1000 we are at $4500-$9000 depending on where your priorities are If you stay on the low end that leaves you with money for Header back exhaust- $2000 for everything (I think) Tune- $500 Should leave you with a nice looking ride If you plan to track you can substitute the showy stuff for a BBK and cooling

Step one, buy better tires. Step two, donate $7,300 to me to make my car faster.

Well If I had $8k I'd spend them in the most expensive upgrade that drastically changes the look of your car. Good wheels and good suspension will run you at about $4-5k right there. I'd probably add exhaust and other misc. minor power upgrades like pullies, air intake etc. the breaks are always a good investment. Before you know it you'll be sitting at $8k. I'm just trying to save up money for my wheels and coils. Only things I got so far were taillights and antenna lol
