I just remembered something else I read about the center locks failing on the intake camshaft phasors. If they hang up and can't park, they flop around until pressure hits them.


I suggest pulling the timing cover to check the intake vvt phasors and the preload of the timing chain tensioners.

update... I finally figured this out. It was the vvt intake cam gear. Something broke inside of it and made this sound till oil pressure increased.

I installed a new one and it's fixed. Hopefully this helps if someone finds this...
