I remember around $400. I wouldn't have been interested at the point it went over $600. Total price was upwards of $1000 because of the dual climate control panel costing close to that.

Edit: I was able to find a small segment of the thread. He was charging $450 for the harness.

I found the full thread cached on google somewhere. I can't seem to find where it was though. I also have it saved to my computer somewhere. I just need to find it.
The thread Title is "Automatic Climate Controller for Manual HVAC". He was banned for not being a site sponsor and the thread later deleted.

As an update, I installed my harness going the single temp route that I wrote about in an earlier post. It worked perfectly, but was a little more difficult than I thought. You still need to remove the dash, but you don't have to remove as much as you would to do the full dual temp install. I'll try to write a but more about it this weekend.

Yeah I have a PM from him stating the entire package (harness + OEM parts) would come in around $1300 so that harness price point seems right

For the single temp conversion, the rest of the parts (servos and such) through amayama.com and some other sites, comes to about $200. The control panel is 360 or so new, and then you would need the harness. If you make it yourself can be had for 100 in parts, otherwise probably looking at a couple hundred to pay someone to do it. So, the single temp conversion should be doable for under 900.

I have updated my earlier post with new pictures and instructions on how I did the single temp http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...16&postcount=9.

One other thought occurred to me. If someone can figure out a way to control the cables which control the temperature and air flow direction on the manual A/C with the servos from the auto A/C, then you wouldn't need to take the dash out or any of that. The guy who built the harnesses originally said he was working on a product which would be plug and play single temp, but he never posted a followup (or got banned before he was ready to sell it).

i just want the look of the BRZ. Is it possible to somehow install the HVAC controls and have it behave the same way as a stock FRS. I don't need the dual climate system, just the look is all i want.

From what I understand, the two systems operate differently. While the FRS's controls are more manual, the BRZ's controls are electronically controlled. And from what I've read, it seems like making this wire harness is the easiest way to go about it.

i'm interested in single zone, dual is too complicate and not necessary.

So much work, and expense, for so little gain (to me). Kudos for those that are willing to go to these extremes to make you dreams come true.

I'd personally spend the money/effort from this on louvers, for even less gain!

I'd seriously consider it. Canadian dollar isn't doing so well though.
