Ah yeah, that's it.

So it is interesting though. According to teh internets the S15 was 8" longer than the Toyobaru (despite having a 2" shorter wheelbase). The rear wheels on the Twins couldn't be moved forward any further without impeding into the passenger compartment (as my silly 'shop shows - that's only about 7.5" of change), this means the car would need to be stretched and in doing so would gain weight (While the S15 had a slightly lower curb weight, it also predates numerous safety requirements), and probably lose some rigidity.

Just for reference, the s15 was only an inch shorter than a modern BMW M2 which has a wheelbase of 106" compared to the Nissan's 99.4 and weighs 3600lbs.

From an aesthetic standpoint (and while I do like the Nissan), I think it has a hair too much rear overhang - and the dimensions seem to support that.

To each his own. To me, it looks perfect.

Twins could benefit from even a slight addition of rear overhang. Probably even slightly longer rear bumper would be enough.

Any good reason to stick with 1st Gen?

That’s hilarious.

That car ends up being the ultimate drift car off all time, and the twins get shit for it. Sounds about right. This car was always kind of the fun red headed stepchild of the enthusiast world. Everyone admits they’re fun, but always with a ton of caveats and buts.

S15 and every Silvia/SX suffered from exact same issue, rear wheels too far aft, 55/45 weight distribution.

Plenty of 2+2 sports/sporty cars have much better weight distribution, including notoriously nose-heavy muscle- and pony-cars. Hint: if gap between doors and rear wheels is greater than gap between doors and front wheels on yer FR sportsy car, you kinda effed it up...

I think it was both.

It actually made the car look a bit awkward, likely because of the short nose.

The Supra and Z for example have much longer noses in comparison.

Whole car shortened as that's all my p-shop skills are up to. So really that's the 2-seat swb version. Which would be awesome... But still there are/have been plenty of 2+2 FR coupes that don't have the rear wheels shoved as far aft as the Silvia and FT86 have them like they're tryna emulate an FF "coupe" or sumthin...

It's kind of an awkward view to begin with, had to start with a deadass side-on view in order to chop it. Not a natural/normal viewing angle. But yeah, it's a hack p-chop. But still looks a lot *less* awkward to me than the unmodded pic. A LOT less awkward...

I like how you kept the roofline into the trunk the same. It kicks the trunk lid up a bit from the haunches like a Z4 coupe.

Not sure I see the less awkwardness...

If modified like this you would lose the back seats, which means some of us wouldn't have bought the car. Likely that would have been offset by persons wanting a two-seater.

I suspect there are more out there that would not have bought it as a two seater than there are those who didn't buy it b/c it's a 2+2.
