Had quite a few bikes, but currently (soon to be sold) have a pimped out R6.
It's a race bike so fully track prepared.
Ohlins shock,
Ohlins fork springs,
Graves full carbon exhaust,
Rear sets,
Brembo master brake cylinder,
Soft race pads (thing stops like you hit a wall!)
Dino and power commander,
Shorter gearing (I can keep up with 2008/9 CBR 1000 till about 220kph)
Nice sticky tyres :-)

Absolutely love it, but wanna sell for a street bike again because racing is just so damn expensive!

bought a 2000 VFR(14K on the clock) in early November and laid it down about 3 weeks later making a left at like 10mph, broke my wrist and it's been bothering me since. ugh, not having ridden in about 10 years is showing.

Nice...all the really cool small displacement bikes come from somewhere other than North America. It sucks. The VTR 250, VFR 400, CBR 400, KR-1/S, RG 250 and so many others would be awesome to get my hands on. I have a real soft spot for small displacement bikes.

but they don't sell them here in the USA. Sucks.

They did sell them here, but only for 3 years (88-90), and they are pretty hard to find. I had a '90...fun little bike that punched way above it's weight. At the time, my wife had an EX500 (500 Ninja), and the VTR 250 was way more entertaining to ride. Wish I had a picture to throw up.

I do have pictures of a couple other bikes I've had...one is an '89 RZ350 (RD350LC YPVS F2 to those on the other side of the pond) that I rebuilt from a bare frame and many boxes of parts...total hooligan bike, and the most fun I've had on 2 wheels.

The other is an '04 599 (Hornet 600 to the rest of the world) that I got new in '03...the very first one in North America (check out that VIN number).

Great bike! I had a 919 (900cc version of this, second post in this thread) and loved it. Still kinda regret selling it.

Yeah, I'm more interested in the newer naked ones.
I would have bought this one sooooooo hard.

They're nice bikes...is that one old enough to still have the gear driven camshafts? They sound sweet.

I looked at them before buying the 599, but the 599 was way more affordable for insurance. The matte metallic green that was available on the '04 919 was a really cool color. I didn't want to jump from my RZ 350 to something over 900cc either. I shouldn't have been worried about that though...once I had the RZ ported, piped, jetted and geared, it was a little rocket.

Agreed...the naked ones with the trellis style frame were waaay better looking. Sort of like a mini Monster.

It's a 2000 Model and I believe it does have them.

New addition as of yesterday.

Found a good enough deal that it was worth the two and a half hours of rainy nighttime knobby tired highway hell that was necessary to get her home.

First purchase was a 2004 Ducati Monster 620. Loved the bike and the attention that comes with anything Ducati, hated the riding position (already have a bad back so it hurt to ride more than 20-30mins at a time) and the maintenance expenses.....

Traded that in on a 2015 Yamaha Stryker Bullet Cowl and never looked back! I love this cruiser! Was never fully confident on the Duc in turns but within 2wks on the Stryker, the bottoms of the pegs have touched the pavement a few times!

Also pictured are two friend's bikes out on a 2hr jaunt to find good backwoods bbq... 2013 VROD Muscle (forward) and 2008(?) Street Bob

Thanks man! I really love the dark green/black also. Toying with the idea of going flat green (same hue) later on down the road.
