I want a Pantera!
I've decided that I am going to seek out and hopefully find my dream Pantera.
Values are climbing quickly, I figure I should jump on one while I can afford it. I have enough to buy any pantera outright, but if I get one, I'll be liquidating my other expensive items so as not to be forced to live off of Top Ramen for the next year or 2 (my 300whp FB turbo BRZ with only 5000 miles is included on that list). I'm in the SF Bay Area, willing to travel to find the right car. In the meantime, let's post up some pics of my all-time favorite car! |

I'm willing to grow a full mullet with fat sideburns and wear bell-bottom corduroy pants for a year for the right Pantera.

The ultimate Pantera guru is named Mike Drew, and he also lives in Norcal.
Go to http://www.poca.com/ and join the email forum. You can contact him from there and he will be a wealth of information for you and help you find a good car. Panteras are still very cheap for what they offer. Thankfully the snobs like to look down on them so values have stayed realistic. Jim

Got to ride in one back in high school, had a blast! I always thought they were under appreciated.

I drove a brand new one in 1973 when I was 19 and doing work for a Mercury dealer. It was the first time I ever drove over 130MPH and a defining moment in my development into a lifelong car enthusiast and gearhead. Good luck with your search for your dream car!

Do you ever check BaT?
http://bringatrailer.com They feature a good Pantera at least twice-a-month. These were both featured in the last two weeks...

Being a hockey fan, I always sort of associated the Pantera with any visit to Tim Horton's doughnut shop. Speaking of which, I'm going to give Burger King a try again despite the last 2 times last summer it gave me gut rot, albeit it was after midnight drive-thru. The Whopper used to be one of my favorite burger sandwiches
