I went ahead and installed a 52mm prosport EVO gauge in a vent pod. While the included wiring and pressure sender coupled with the gauge pod, the prosport oil galley plug and fuse tap made the instal super clean, the LED light is not quite as bright as I would have liked. Kinda wished I went analog with the gauge.

Also the idle oil pressure is scary low at 10-11psi once warmed up..

Actually, I've seen @Decay107's Defi gauge. It is fast and has a beautiful display.

I love @Lunatic's setup, too.

Lunatics 3 guage pod looks really clean, but its a bit further from the "line of sight" than I like. Ideally I'd have it mounted to the right of the steering wheel between the cluster shroud/hood and the AC vent. But the vent pod was nice and cheap and it looks clean and easy. I picked the digital readout because I thought it would be easily read. I wasnt expecting it to look so dim in sunlight (which is when I'll be running the car the hardest thus most concerned with my oil pressures).

The defi BF gauge looks like a good match, pricey doe: http://www.defi-shop.com/products/ad...adbf_oilpress/

I kinda wished I went with this one in hindsight: http://prosportgauges.com/amber-whit...ure-gauge.aspx

Yes I'm "frugal" with my mods, but I'm still picky.

I use the prosport "JDM"series amber/white gauge, was the only one I could find reasonably priced with a sweep/lcd readout. Also would always rather have 60mm gauges.

Hows the airflow with that setup? I'm debating putting a gauge in that spot, but just concerned about airflow

Defi BF series are amazing. they have good features as well. auto dimming, adjust the dimming level, set warnings (controller will make a continuous beep when it hits the set warning temp/pressure), check the highest peak values (oil pressure has 2, highest/lowest), reset the peak values, and also you can record up to 2 or 3 minutes i cant remember which, and you can playback the whole session you recorded and watch the gauges and observe
i had the BF series on my S15 in Japan and bought another set again before i came back to the U.S because once you've had them, you wont buy another brand. Although Greddy is coming out with some new ones as well... they look pretty sexy.

It's not good, but not terrible. I'm sure a 60mm pod would be a bit worse.

Where are you guys hooking up the oil temp and pressure sensors? I have an oil cooler and was thinking about buying a sandwich plate to go on top of the oil cooler one..

I used the location at the front of the block where the manual specs out the acceptable oil pressure range. I removed the oil pressure switch as it's useless anyway. For temperature, I just use my phone to read from the ECU.
