Any PC Gamers Around?

Halo looks cool but plays poorly. It's just a watered down version of the games that came before,but more polished. Tribes was an infinitely superior game.

I was at the Macworld announcement of Halo. After that I expected so much. Hence disappointment.

The Time Splitters series was overshadowed by Halo, god those were good games.

I used to play the shit out of Tribes 1 and 2.
Probably the game that really got me into PC gaming.

Perhaps. I wasn't disappointed in the later Halo games because I expected nothing but crap. The most innovative FPS I've played since Tribes are Shadowrun, with through wall teleporting and other creative additions, and Red Eclipse, with the wall-running. Titanfall sounds good but sucks in practice. Cube 2: Sauerbraten has the pure FPS experience. Team Fortress bores me. Run around and heal people? I'd rather play pong.

At a dilemma...
Need a laptop, can't decide between these 2...
I obviously want something thin to carry around but with gaming capabilities.

Hold on. Razer has a new "laptop" coming out with twin 1080s(?) And subwoofers(yes, 2 subs). Weighs somewhere around 20lbs. You should get that

They actually have one with a 1080 that I'm tempted to get... But it starts at $3700... Don't really want to spend that much.

Oh of course I do. Just don't want to spend that much.

I'm also still considering the Razer Stealth+ Core since I already have a 1070 and the battery life would be a ton better... But then I'm spending $1400. For a little more I get a 1060 in the laptop.
But my 1070 is bottlenecked by my processor in my desktop since it's a fairly old dual core...
So I would have to spend close to $400 anyway to get it performing at its best.

Fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu too many decisions man.

I prefer to wait until the price drops. But I picked up Overwatch a few weeks ago. I love it. The gameplay is well, it has it's quirks as I am learning. But the characters are fantastic. I am on it, same name no space. I am still leveling and trying to learn the ins and outs. But it would be nice to have a group for quick play and maybe some competitive later on.

Yeah, I appreciate that it plays quickly and that it's very team-oriented. I used to be a CS1.6 player back in the day (played a lot of CAL), and it scratches the same itch.
