Any kind of warranty on it?

That's a good question. A couple of other things come to mind too. Like: Does the engine come with a flywheel and will my pressure plate work with the 22+. Can RS send me a tune? I'd like to have them check the oil pickup for silicone too.

I know it sounds expensive but $6k for the engine, $500 shipping, $700 for the kit. The rest is labor, tax, etc.

Yeah. What exactly does 'drop in' mean? Ten grand is decent for a true replacement assembly.

Price wise it’’s not bad. Your current tune should run it, just won’t be optimal. I’d imagine if they are going as far as to pull the timing cover to change the cam reluctor plates that they would check the oil pickup, but it doesn’t hurt to ask and be sure. I’d be hoping it least a few month or few thousand mile warranty.

He is going to pull the pan and he said that there is usually more silicone in the timing cover than the pan. Ron says my 2013 flywheel (hence clutch) will work. Drop in means drop in Cam plates and modified wiring harness.

He said no warranty because he knows how this cars are driven. I will clarify that should I have a rod knock on start up that I would have some recourse.

Also could be the start of your YouTube career. Start with the annoying "What's up guys, its your boy blsfrs here with another FA24 engine swap video! Make sure to hit like subscribe and hit the bell icon...blah blah blah"

If this works as anticipated, the credit goes to RS Motors. I'm just spending the money and doing the grunt work of putting the engine in my car.

Pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't they need to make make 2 kits? One for 2013-2016 and another for 2016-2020? I've heard the trigger plates are not the same.

Edit: Duh. I just read the entire page.

Correct. 2017-2020 is a much cheaper option since we are able to use the FA24 as-is with just 4 adapter harnesses and a fuel pressure sensor swap, since the 17-20 ECU is already set up to accept a hall effect crank signal and shares the same cam reluctor pattern as the FA24.

(also hi. i am the one building those swap kits lol. happy to answer any questions about the swap)

For the 13-16 kit, we will be able to use the stock ECU, correct? I assume so but i just want to be sure

Correct. The kit includes a set of camshaft reluctor wheels and a custom crank position sensor setup that will allow the FA24 to be run off the 13-16 ECU.
