Call and explain what happened, tell them you didn't get the envelope with all the warranty stuff so you didn't know you had to send anything in

This seems to be dependent upon who answers the phone over at Vortech. I called again last week just to get some clarification on the H/D V-2 H67B compressor max RPM and this time I was told that the H/D V-2 H67B was 52,000rpm which is the same as the V-3 H67B compressor. I was under the impression the V-2 had a higher max RPM too but they insisted it does not this time around. Bummer cause I need more revs

I assumed perhaps now that there are more of the H/Ds on the street they have determined 52k is the new max. I am curious what Brian has to say about it too.

I remember it being higher based on different bearing, either 55k or 65k rpm

Going to be running the 4TF218-124 kit engine oil fed kit. Where's the best place to tap for the oil return?
It looks like here is the spot for the feed. Easier to just get an aftermarket oil pan? EDIT**Picked up the MAP aftermarket oil pan that's got the fitting and is a larger capacity. Now, oil coolers. Looking at the Perrin/Mishimoto/Greddy/Etc.. where are you mounting the oil cooler rad at ? Last edited by FyeaFRS; 04-09-2014 at 08:35 AM. |

Hello Brian and Vortech team!!
I already have oil fed H/D V-2 H67B SC. If I would like to exchange my blower for bigger one or rebuild it to get more boost and power. Which way (rebuild or change) would you reccomend? Is it possible rebuild my blower to T-trim (change impeller and volute) or send my you and pay some amount so you send me bigger unit which will fit to the existing place. Thank you. Please respond. |

^The T-trim is a different blower though it has the same bolt pattern as the S and Si trims (the blower you have). Your current blower cannot be rebuilt into a T-trim since it's an entirely different blower. You can contact Vortech to see if they will give you credit on your current blower for the T-trim upgrade. The T-trim has straight cut gears so it'll be louder.
The s2k community has taken the Si trim to about 500whp (this author included though i was mid 400s last dyno). The impeller has been over spun without excessive high AIT with supportive bearings and few have reported destroyed blowers as a result. This is also with A/W heat exchangers. HTH |

T-trim is not only strait cut! they have V2-Ti 1000 hp blower which is H/Cut, so that's why question about upgrading my blower to T-trim ia actual.. I might need new impeller and also it's housing, bolt pattern is same.. upgrade seems to me much cheeper than exchange because V2Ti or V7Ysi cost is about 3500$ and Vortech will credit for my blower about 700 only as for any used blower.. Also question is about how much power (parasitic) I will loose in case of using such big 1000hp blower as V2Ti or V7 because I think that 2.0L engine will have to "work much harder" to spin that monster... My heads and engine are fully built with 10CR so I want to try to get close to 600hp with supercharger setup. That's my idea.. I did't find any 500++ or 600hp setups with SC, turbos only.. so I might be first in that... but I need help from Vortech... Vortech make nice SChargers but their customer support is so ..... let's say not good They never reply.... I sent many letters during two years Only Brian helped me a lot here, but now hi is not accepting any pm's because his mail box if full that's why I'm trying to get in touch with him here... |

I spoke with vortech about this very subject and they told me I could not upgrade/rebuilt the blower. This was 3 years ago and they haven't updated their website since then (at least from what I could see). At one point you could upgrade to the T trim, but the vortech rep I spoke to said that was no longer supported. If you wanted to go the T trim route, the outright purchase was the only method to get there via vortech.
This is why the S2k community just "overspins" the novi 1200 ( Si trim) for 500 whp. 600 whp was achieved with a novi 1500 blower (T trim). However, it appears the fa20 runs around 80 whp less than a similarly FI'd f20c (I'm thinking the "extra" 1200 rpm helps) so you may need to go right to the novi 1500 for 500 whp. There is always the option of doing your own work via superchargerrebuilds.com and add your own impeller and high speed bearings, but vortech may no longer service your blower after that.
