I wanna see full global stats with MT/AT %, then we would be looking at a far better picture.

Looking at the totality of cars sold is less cherry picking than zeroing in on early model years.

I'm just trying to sound ridiculous and hysterical over my choice of transmission, but everything I write sounds like a real post. I only chose AT because I have 25 stop signs on each leg of my commute each day. Multiply by 4, and that's 100 stop signs I go through a day.

But I'll get a MT PP BRZ next year anyway.

The boy drives manual transmission
The Mrs drives automatic
The girl drives automatic
My dad drove manual
My mother drove automatic

Seems to be some form of pattern forming here....based on if you have vagina....or not.......it seems.......

I suppose this article is less cancerous than the kid flexing about his mommy buying a $200k car for him.

In another 10 years there will only be automatics and everybody will have vaginas.

sure, either way the majority of 86/BRZ sales were from the first 3 MYs but still better than only looking at the handful of twins that have gotten moved over the past coupe years

I do too, heck I had a female boss a few years back who was DDing a MT 86, but come on, that is still an exception...nearly all the female 86/BRZ drivers that I've noticed had paddles on their steering wheel

Ah, I assumed the stat was 86+FRS but you're right, it implies just 86's so that would be '17+ models only.

My wife does and is totally bummed that the chances are slim we'll be able to find a car she like with a stick for her next car. Her current 06 Outback has issues and may not be with us for much longer.

For most of the history of the automobile women drove MTs as much as men.
My wife drove MT

My mother drove MT

My grandmother drove MT

My great grandmother drove Mt exclusively.

The pattern is just in your family.

The difference in numbers of American males or females that drive MT is probably next to nothing but if it helps some assert their masculinity by thinking they are exclusive then all the power to them.
