For the 335, what about using E85?

As far as I know, pump gas.

Let me see if I can answer everyone's questions, here. I knew this would open a can of worms :p.

The bolts were all changed out as soon as we heard about the issue. Moving forward, hydrogen embrittlement should not be an issue. If anything happens, just let me know. If you already have new bolts from Innovate, then the issue was addressed for you a while ago. I shipped those replacements to them from our US supplier.

When we said the 335 is a "race only" system, we mean exactly that. Plan on a built block, beefier fuel system, even bigger injectors, beefy clutch OR auto trans cooler, etc. We didn't screw around making this one, so you shouldn't either. Possum Bourne Motorsports is winding up a build with the 335 unit. It has the kitchen sink thrown at it .

The 210+ isn't a huge gain in power, but a nice and noticeable addition to things. 10-12% depending on the tune is what we've seen across the pond. your stock block should be safe and happy on pump gas. Remember, more boost means more risk no matter what compressor you use.

Remember the old school bolt-on turbo and s/c systems, before the WRX came to the US? That was the basic idea behind our 210 system--low boost on high compression that is still friendly to pump gas. Easy maintenance and easy to enjoy for thousands of miles. Race guys have race problems, plain and simple.

Here's a little ear candy from Oz. MRT did a turbo-sc combination. Straight from Brett's mouth, the concept is not what you think. It uses a small turbo for low end, and the big blower for the top end. You can see the flat, high torque curve on the top. There's more to be had from the 335. We're just getting started.

Regarding those 335 graphs... I wouldn't be happy with that power band.

Why does the torque take a nose dive through out most of the rpm range. It produces 150 ft lbs at redline? Something is wrong. That unit is supposed to provide flow and shouldn't choke the engine starting at less than 5k rpms?

Those graphs you mentioned seem odd to me.
I say that because in every other dyno graph that I have seen ,the torque and HP curves cross at 5250 rpm.

Not odd. Thats just because the left Y-axis is scaled differently than the right Y-axis.

No, I meant why not run E85 and be "fine" without building the block. If it blows then build the block.
The guy who ran it on pump and stock block is literally an idiot in addition to going with fa20club.

If you get the stage 2 kit do you need to do the fueling step or can you just do stage 1 with the included intercooler?

Look at the dyno sheet in MRT's video below @ 1:50. See that flat hp curve at higher rpm on the right? That's our baby doing that . Remember, the 335 was used for top end power on this setup and not the turbo.

Honestly no. I see the torque curve nose diving at high rpm. The hp is flat.

Yeah, I see the same. A high-rpm torque drop on every dyno MRT posted. Still plenty of torque, but it hurts the claim that this is a high rpm monster.

Oops. edited. You're right. Flat HP curve up top, not tq. The flat top end power curve was my point.

I grabbed the figures out of this video. He's comparing 98ron to E85.

Metric

98Ron E85
245kw 278kw
410Nm 460nm

English

98Ron E85
302wtq 339wtq
328whp 372whp

Not bad for playing it conservative.

What kind of boost is that running on the E85 setup? Still the same Laminova IC core as the 210 unit? Those numbers are turbo and SC together or just SC? I realize the top end WHP is mainly due to the SC.
