What's the outcome? Everyone else was faster apart from his friend's old WRX. If you want to be FAST, then there are other cars for this. It doesn't have to be a supercar. If you want to have FUN, then keep it stock or close to stock.

"Fast" is subjective.

I love my 86, but it would be a lot more fun with 60+ more horsepower.

I'm on a bar of boost on e85 with a stock engine. I don't track the car, so I don't know if it could handle the power lap after lap, but the car is pretty fast for me. More power is always nice for higher gears and higher speed scenarios, but then it also takes a lot more finesse to drive the car at lower gears.

My point is I agree, but a boosted 86 on E85 at 12-15psi is a very competent car and more than enough for most.

Yeah they said weren't expecting to beat any of the other cars at the track that day. The rest is all opinion as its obvious they are having a ton of fun in their modified cars.

Not bad considering it doesn't have coilovers or any camber up front and was driven in sport mode the entire time.

A tone of fun on what? They were saying something like "come on BRZ, you can beat that Lotus". After a while the Lotus was gone. How much fun can it be to chase something that you will never catch? Next time it won't be that fun. I'm not saying that the BRZ is not a fun car in a race track, but obviously not for chasing 300+ hp (super-) cars. Either with a turbo or not.

Sooooooo..... don't modify your car. Anyone who wants to do something with their car, they can what they want to do.

Seems pretty simple.

You can modify a car for the looks or because it makes you feel better improving certain areas. All I am saying is not to have wrong expectations.
