Sparco EVO install question
I’m going to try to install the Sparco EVOs when they come in but I have a few questions that I’m pretty sure you guys can answer.
To get rid of the airbag light all I need to do is install a 3ohm resistor in the driver and passenger seat right? Do I need to take out the airbag sensor from the passenger seat as well? To get the lowest possible mount for the seats and still retain a slider capability what do you guys recommend? I’ve read BuddyClub is really low but not particularly strong. I’ve also read Sparco will actually make me gain height. Any thoughts on Bride or Braum or anything else? Last edited by Jstyle; 11-23-2021 at 08:20 AM. Reason: Reposting with subscription |

Not sure about the other stuff but as far as mounts go, Brey Krause makes really nice ones that work on oem sliders. I had some for my bmw and they make them for the 86 (OG Racing sells them) so I’m planning on trying them out.

I was looking at this post which is super helpful and might be the direction I go unless anyone thinks I can get lower and/or stronger mounts. Last edited by Jstyle; 11-23-2021 at 10:19 AM. |

What EVO's did you go with? I plan on buying the QRT Evo L for my car. Hoping they fit, and sit a bit lower when done.

I also ordered the Evo and Evo L QRT for my car lol!
I had an OMP ARS set in my previous car and they are a bit wider, a friend has the Evo QRT in his BMW and it's a little narrower (fits me perfectly though) so I think it will fit well in these cars. I got the L for a passenger. In the Brey-Krause mount marketing for the 86 they used a QRT-Carbon seat and it looks like a good fit, OG Racing did the setup and development on that one as one of their employees wanted the BK mounts for his BRZ.

I have a Sparco Evo L sitting in my garage right now. I ordered a PCI slider seat mount for it, but it's on backorder. I've heard the PCI seat mounts sit very low. I will update when I put the seat in if I remember.

PCI's slider brackets are on backorder till January sometime. I have my order in for one. Didn't want to go fixed seat mounts since at 5'3" nobody else would be able to move my car ever again

Im just over 6ft, and may have a co driver next year. The issue is, I don't think sliders will fit for me. Maybe these ones that use the stock sliders, but don't want to take apart my stock seat.

Remind me mid January and you can have the ones off my stock seat. I won't be saving it.

If he doesn't want it you can have the slider. It won't be available until I get my mount from PCI which is supposed to be January sometime. It would just be the driver side, I am keeping my stock passenger seat.
