Other than that, I wouldn't recommend making changes until you see repeatable knock correction behavior. And even in your current situation, the knock correct you see in your logs is pretty darn minor. Before detuning your map, I would suggest at least trying a different brand of gas if you haven't tried already. Then again, I'm not familiar with the gasoline situation down there in Australia
alright so I just need to monitor the "knock corrections" thanks.

I'm pretty well running the best "gas" I can at 100 RON (its actually 98 with 10% ethanol)

Will look for repeatable "knock correction events" and go from there

I was trying hard to load it up at low rpm in high gear

Shiv were using the stock MAP sensor when you were tuning the vortech car? I was going to install a 3 bar but I wanted to know what you were using.

No, @nelsmar is giving me a aftermarket 3 bar sensor but don't know the model or brand.

I sent him an Omni 3 bar.
Here are the scaling i typically use:
Offset: +0.030 Bar
Multipler: 0.617 Bar/V

Another that some have used is a denso (typically found on hondas) I use the following scaling for:
Offset: -0.045 Bar
Multiplier: 0.367 Bar/V

And another one I have used is the omni 4 bar with these scalings:
Offset: +0.035 Bar
Multiplier: 0.825 Bar/V

Any chances any of the map scalings you have match one of these sensors?

I just want to make sure @cjsporl1996 doesn't have any problems coming up with your shelf tune! If it wasn't in the beta phase I would help him adjust the map scaling but that isnt possible currently. If none of the scalings match with that I can email @Brian@Vortech and see if he knows specifically which sensor they are using.

Motorola 2.5:

Is this it by chance? haha

I think the omni may be the same but I haven't tested it.

It would have been much easier if you had just bought new from shiv, you know you would be supported with warranty for sure.
It shouldn't be too much of an issue if you know how to tune with the differences but looks like you don't so you are essentially asking him to support someone else's kit that was setup slightly differently.

If you have any issues with the kit or the ots tune, it's best that you get the guy who sold it to you to fix it.

I believe @shiv@vishnu said the OTS tune for OFT300 will be locked initially, so if you want to start with his tune and do your own MAP scaling you might have to wait until .bins are released.

Yeah, I know.
I knew he was going to have issues as soon as he said he bought someone's kit when he didn't check the differences at the time.
I think he was to use different hardware, he may be best off to follow the advice above or engage shiv on tuning the variation from the oft300

I'm most likely going to have shiv do a e tune on the car if the dev file shiv supplies does not work. I would probably do my own tuning solution but it's difficult with the oft especially if shiv won't unlock the vortech file. My car's hardware is not too much different from from what shiv has been using. We shall see. Just curious but why must shiv lock the vortech tune?

Oh and does anyone know how shiv develops the dev file? My technical high school major is information technology.

He has stated, just like the last beta release, they will be release locked at first so he can get feedback and logs from a known tune so he can tweak the tune for general release. After he is satisfied it is safe it gets released in bin format.

I would easily fix the tune for him if it wasn't locked. :P I didn't know which MAP sensor shiv was using so I sent him the one from my own car (omni 3 bar) as it is a fairly common map sensor used by the majority of FI kits being sold on this platform. I wasn't quite sure which map sensor vortech was using though. it is literally a 5 second adjustment in the ROM to switch it in which I have posted the scaling in an above post. I even told him I will gladly buy the sensor back from him if the sensor wasn't going to work out!

Also he got the kit for a fair bit lower than the price of the kit Shiv is selling. And the supercharger is fresh from vortech I just had them rebuild it due to a minor seal leak from "experimenting" with belt sizes early on as no one knew what size to use that early on.

Omni 2.5 bar go for ~90-110 shipped on average if that is the actual sensor. I think they are using Motorola based sensors but I don't know for sure.
