hood vents. They will also reduce underhood pressure.

Hood vents seems like the best thing honestly. Maybe turn the foglights into air ducts, too?

My oil temp on track is consistantly around 130-135°C (270°F)
My car is Vortech supercharged and I use either 5W30 or 5W50 which I change every 3-4 track days. I've had zero problems after two and a half years supercharged and 28 track days which includes some amateur racing. So 250°F wouldn't worry me at all, but that's just my opinion... YMMV

I am guessing that the pressure will fall dramatically at those temps. When you come in from a run with oil that hot, my SWAG says you will be down below 10 PSI at idle. |

Thanks for breaking forum rules and not searching! been covered more times than 99% of the other topics, along with, "will this coilover setup rub???" and a classic "what exhaust should I get??"
....but thats none of my business. If we have to make a new member advice sticky, I'm out.

Ive never had issues but our turbos are in better spots and way more effective at carrying heat away even with stock radiators. Depending where the oil cooler is you can try ducting in air and ducting it away. Hood vents will increase airflow. Dont remove the air dams around the radiators as that bleeds alot of air away. Maybe a heat exchanger upsize.

Air going towards the oil cooler will take the easiest path and go around the oil cooler instead of through it. Maybe some ducting?

agreed, 250F is fine. Change it frequently (I change it every 4 - 6 track days)

As you get faster/better and as the temp here in CA increases in the summer you will see higher oil temps.
I would try the CSG Track Spec hood vents as it dramatically decreased my temps at the track: I also have a big oil cooler (setrab 25row series 9) located in the main airflow .

first of all, try moving your oil cooler to a spot that has more airflow. I would assume behind the foglight will have minimal airflow; try centering it in your front grill and see what temperatures you get. I have the JR oil cooler and I struggle to get past 210F when under hard load either in canyon runs or just some street pulls. I am waiting until my next track day in May to see what temps I get.
