today he's calling me for a progress report, and at the end of the day, he's telling me who's going to be back on the job, like i'm now managing it...

3 months ago in my yearly review, i specifically mentioned this problem, that there's a lack of consistency to jobsite hierarchy. i really don't care who manages it, but when i was told i wasn't to manage it, and now suddenly am, things are going to be skipped/missed/unknown when i wasn't involved in the process...

yep, definitely time to move on...
That sounds like my GM. Him and I our constantly at odds along with the other sales staff. They will grossly underquote jobs because they have no idea what it takes to do them or give ridiculous timelines and not talk to me about them. I am usually on the same page with the company president so I had a conversation with him about it that was positive. Even though running anything on that side of the company was never an aim of mine, he thinks the only way it will move forward is if I just handle that side of the company as it's own entity. When I told him what the GM said he just looked at me like:

I rarely drink things that come in cans. But when I need to open a zip top can I'll use the opposite hand's fingers to those holding said can. Meaning if I picked up the can with my right hand I'll use my left thumb to pop up the tab and then my left index finger to zip it open. Vice versa if I picked it up with my left.
Mind you I'm a "special" case. I have brain damage/scar tissue mostly to the left frontal lobe. Therefore some tasks are difficult for me to do right handed. However, over the years I've master some and fallen a slave to others.

Examples:
I now mouse 99% left handed although I use a right handed mouse set-up, (Left click for main functions right click for secondary functions).
I can only write/print legibly right handed thanks to my mother and teachers who forced me to do so. (As a young child I mimicked my oldest brother who was left handed. Public school forced me to go right handed. After my injuries I reverted back to left hand but if caught I'd switch to right. Made for some awkward moments, like trying to prove I'd done an assignment when there was clearly two distinct hand writings in it.)
So... We is all different and do stuff differently. Who cares as long as we do what we need to, want to, like to and it doesn't hurt anyone else. Vive la différence!

When I was in school I wrote with both hands, halfway across the page with the left, then switched to the right. They didn't force me one way or the other, but did tell me to only use one I went left.

But, that is why i can write on a white board with either hand. can't do it so much on paper though.

I learned to do a lot of things both left and right handed being a lefty. A lot of it comes from imitating how I was shown to do something and it just stuck. Some things out of necessity like when I broke my collarbone or my wrist. I can't write with either anymore since there is no need. Numbers I still do as sometimes I have my left hand gloved or holding something and need to write something on a part I am making.

I buy bottles, and use a church key. I use my right hand.

I shift with my right hand, and I'm right handed, except when I'm in Australia. Then I'm left handed.

I'm a hardcore lefty. Dominant left eye. Write with both hands but was forced to use my right.

Stick a pen in both hands and my left will follow a perfect mirror of what I'm writing with my right. Hasn't yet been profitable but hope springs eternal.

Trained right handed. Worked for a couple of years in my mid 20s as a draftsman. I broke my right wrist motorcycling and taught myself to write and draw left handed. I was much better accuracy and legibility wise as a lefty. But it never really felt comfortable. So when my wrist healed, I reverted to the right.

As the saying goes, I gave my right hand to become ambidextrous.
