I have a really random question and I'm not sure where to ask it, so if someone here could redirect me that'd be great.

Is there a way to program keyless entry in the FRS where both the passenger and driver side door open even if you only touch the handle on the driver side? Does this make sense? lol

On my EUDM GT86, touching the driver side handle unlocks both doors. (but opens neither...)
So I guess I don't understand the question. Care to elaborate?

As for a redirect, try this: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101882
That's where most of the really important issues are addressed

Lol that's what I meant. So if I touch the handle to my passenger door, both sides unlock, but if i just touch my driver side, only the driver side unlocks. I wouldn't normally care, but it's just annoying to dig in my bag for the key or have to unlock it again after I open the door.

Ok, I see. Another difference between American and European versions of the car. (We got bigger exhaust pipes, clear side blinkers and two doors unlocking simultaneously. You got Release Series.)

I did a quick search and found this:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67120
That thread is about the BRZ, but I wouldn't be surprised if it works on your RS2 too!
Try it and let us know how it went?

-Oh, and another difference is I don't have a "panic button" on my key fob.
What does that do, anyway? Cause a panic? Stop a panic? Alert the surroundings of a panic in progress?

So thanks to you I figured it out. The thread you sent me to actually lead me to another thread that had the solution, which was to just press both lock and unlock buttons for about 5 seconds while sitting in the car with the engine off. I honestly can't thank you enough!

Also, the panic button just sets off your alarm, which is really loud. But it's supposed to scare off someone if they're thinking about stealing your car or breaking into it? I think? Basically, if you're panicking.

I don't know how to "thank" you on this forum/thread but I just want you to know you have spared me endless hours from reading the car manual.

Once you get 10 posts made a little thanks button will show up in the bottom right corner of people's posts. Just click that and than away.

It's true, even tech stuff. It should be stickied above this thread.

Hey, that's great! Happy to be of assistance, glad it worked out

I never panic, but I do press the wrong buttons on things on a regular basis; so I'm kinda happy not to have neither alarm nor panic button.

Enjoy your cool car, post some photos, and come see us in the off topic section!

No I don't remember. Some were broken anyway so a refresh probably won't hurt.
