Certified vs. used?
What's your pick on it? Is purchasing a CPO vehicle worth the extra money?

I bought my BRZ from a Sub dealer as CPO with 9000 miles.
They extended the full (factory) powertrain warranty to 7 yrs, 100,000 miles. So one could argue that is better than new. I had them provide the service records so I could verify it wasnt a problem child before I purchased. |

At this point I don't really trust the validity of the inspection as I don't generally trust most dealership personnel.
That being said you're paying for the extended warranty, well worth it in the eyes of most. |

The free warranty is the only upside really to me, and a good one at that. Also, CPO cars don't necessarily have to be more expensive than any other used car, you can haggle just the same.

Certified cars are generally less problematic. Toyota dealers usually take and certify the best examples.

consumer report think a certified vehicle is better than an new one because of extend warranty. i think CPO is an excellent choice since they usually refurbish it and make sure everything is within the certain standard (i.e tires, brakes, belt, oils....etc) and extend warranty.
