FA20CLUB V2 Turbo Kit Progress

Made some headway on the second of our turbo kits. We made some major headway on the first bottom mount kit but wanted to offer something that would provide more options for turbo sizes and upgradeability. Its finally rounding up and should be back on the rollers end of the week. This kit allowed us to drop the overall retail price significantly. the final retail price was the major reason we didnt pursue a large frame release of the V1 kit. This kit should retail easily around 3800.00 with fuel upgrades (injectors & pump) along with the base tune.

Im Interested, Will this be a better version of the first turbo? or just a cheaper version.

I would like to know what areas will be diffrent to justify the cost savings.

yeah intresting to see how your spool times and hp compare with the top and bottom mount turbo kit.

You using the same size turbo for both?

Which one has less piping?

My inital thought was WTF too, but looking back at the pictures i think he's referring to the carbon deposit spots in the manifold mating surfaces.

looks like welding HAZ on the flanges to me. They really should be faced after welding anyway.

It looks like abit of heat discoloration from the welds... And if it was leaking that'd turn you away? Any of the current kits even just NA headers could do this depending who installs or what goes on em ie: type/style of gasket or even some high temp gasket goo

The only other thing someone mentioned above which helps is that they should get faced after welding to take away any high/low spots that may appear, but a good gasket and some copper goo would sort that... Or a belt sander lol

The car hasnt event cranked up on this setup yet so im sorry to bust your bubble on that one. If it were running already the tubes would have already started changing color to a goldish tint.

materials: less piping overall and lower cost on the turbo included. allot less piping for the charge pipes among other things.

flanges are machine, those images are fresh off the welding table.

The flanges on the over pipe I bought from you certainly weren't machined flat. They appeared to have been finished by someone hand machining them and the result was a convex surface, not suitable for fitting.
I have spent some time filing them by hand but one end is still not good enough.
