Like any other forum, everybody has an opinion. Some really solid flame-wars there.

I've checked in on it from time to time over the last 10 years or so. Lots of opinions, lots of facts, lots of information overload. Useful information can be found if you take the time to search for it, and take the time to learn what everything means.

Some of the best information there can be found in the Technical & White Paper forum. But yes, there are LOTS of opinions there, and the "Motor Oil University" was written by a plastic surgeon. I'm not joking.
There are still good posts by people that are in the industry, it just takes some time to sort through all the noise and figure out the difference. Post count and writing style does not mean that someone is in the industry. -Dennis |

This BRZ UOA is a perfect example. It's starts off fine, with some good recommendations, but turns into an all out war about oil coolers.

Lol oh lord, that is mine.... all I asked was for feedback about the UOAs, and then a 5 page argument started about the effect of oil coolers to the point I saw formulas, words I've never heard before, and dissertations by every "expert" on either side... at which point I stopped checking it lol.
