But it doesn't work. Even if the fog light button is 'on', the only instance in which they will turn on, is when the headlights are on too. I'm bad at explaining things, but I'll illustrate with some pics when I get to my car.

THIS!! If I can't have them on all the time I at least want them wired to the marker lights

We've established I want my fog lights on with Marker Lights on. But they only turn on with the headlights on.

This is my fog light switch in "on" position.Name: uploadfromtaptalk1437330330070.jpg

To put it this way, the fogs and headlights are married. I want the fogs to divorce the headlights and marry the marker lights haha

Fogs off when Hi-beam On

I have the OEM fogs with control on left-stalk. When Fogs are on... and Hi-beam is turned on.. the Fogs turn off (by design).... must be something "legal-wise" b/c on my other rig (w/factory Fogs), the same thing... Hi's on - Fog's off.

I don't get where the confusion in this thread is coming from...

I have the exact setup you're looking to accomplish and it's not difficult

1. Buy Diode Dynamics fog light kit
2. Buy FR-S Monogram switch kit (found at fteightysix.com)
3. Install fog light kit --> Power wire goes to your battery
--> Trigger wire goes to the switch

My fog lights work independently of the headlights.

The only complication I see is that your fogs were installed by factory but that shouldn't be a show stopper. Just go take a look how they were wired up and re-route that power wire + trigger wire

Hope that helps...See my posting here for more clarification:

I don't wanna have to buy a whole new fog kit if I have oem. But basically what I should have the fogs powered directly from the battery?

Correct.

In order to separate the marriage between your headlights and fog lights - you need to provide your fogs with an "always on" power source. The battery is the easiest way to get that.

So just find the power wire to your OEM fogs and connect it to the positive terminal of the battery.

Then hook up the switch as I show in that previous post link giving it ground and power - and then splicing the fogs trigger wire into it
