Tow Hook Cutout diagram

For all of those that are using a license plate relocator here is the diagram that raceseng uses for their cutouts.

I haven't been able to do the drilling yet but I figured this was a good place to start for all of those that want their relocator to look a bit cleaner and were afraid to just dive straight into cutting.

This should be a sticky in the diy section. I wish i would've had this when I did mine instead of having to dremel it out over and over until it fit.

Not gonna lie I did the old cardboard cut out trick and just filed it up to size. Mine came out great but this would have saved me a good hour or so of guess and check. Plus I'm a measure 4 times think about cutting, measure again then cut below my lines anyway to be safe kind of guy lol.

I was lucky and found someone local that had already done it, so just used his as a template

Great find though, would be useful in the DIY section.

Make sure you select "Actual Size" when you print this - Acrobat defaults to "Fit" and depending on your printer this could shrink/enlarge the template and screw you up. Also, remember to use a bunch of painter's tape over the area you drill so that the paint doesn't get torn up in the area that is left behind.

For folks who have done this, how much room is left around the tow hook shaft? Is it enough to install a rubber grommet?

Used this today. Found it a little big in the horizontal and a little tight in the vertical. It's making a 1" hole on the profile of the curve of the bumper but it's a little too ellipsoid. I also couldn't find a grommet that would fit at my local Lowe's so if anyone could share what they used I'd appreciate it.
