A/C smells after fuel pump replacement

Hey all,

Got my fuel pump replaced under warranty for crickets. Since it's been kinda cold, I haven't been using my AC, until it started warming up a few days ago. I turned it on, and it immediately smelled like fertilizer in my car. I've been testing it everyday since, and it's definitely coming from the car.

Anyone with experience working on these know where I can start looking to find the source of the smell? It only happens when the cold air AC is on and the air circulator is off.

The last time I was ever in a car where the A/C smelled really bad was years ago in my dad's car and when we took it to the shop, they found a shredded lizard in there.

Do you recall where on the car? I'm not sure where to start looking, and I don't want to point fingers at the dealer just yet.

Not sure, I was pretty young then and didn't know much about cars lol.

I'd check the drain hose first. It might be clogged.
Usually if this is the case, check your passenger side floor and see if there's any wet spots or any liquid there. That's usually a sure sign of a drain hose clog.

I'm guessing that is the reason ..... nothing to do with the fuel pump.

Like N1rve mentioned, check (and air/dry out) the cabin air filter.

Run the system on "hi" fan for a while.

In ther future, consider shutting off the A/C (but leave the blower going) a few minutes before you shut down the car.
