Oft disappointment

So I have a 15 brz limited 6mt. I picked up an oft and flashed the appropriate stage one ROM for my calibration #. My car is basically stock aside from a k&n drop in. I have waited 5 days before posting here. I cannot tell any difference from the stock tune. I wanted to ask you guys if there's a considerable difference with a stock car.

Thanks in advance...

Running 93 my calid is ZA1JD00c. I'm not sure how to log tune but I'll try it when I get home from work today.

Do a 20 roll up to 60-70 from 2nd gear, then a 65-70mph pull up to about 80-85 in 5th and 6th. Revert to stock tune and repeat. See if you notice it then. When I first did mine I felt the same, didn't notice hardly any change. After going back to the stock tune it made me appreciate the OFT tune a lot more.

It's not a world of difference, but subtle. It also opens the door for bigger changes. Not sure what you were expecting, but the suggestion of doing some runs and then going stock is good, if you want to feel the difference. Though I've always found it takes a few drives for things to settle, out something like that.

The main change is the torque dip between 3500-4500 is lessened. Just a tune does help, but you'll notice a large change when adding a header or E85

I bought oft for my 2015 brz not expecting much of a difference. When I first flashed it I ran the 91 octane stage 1 tune. Drove around for a few days like that, and then threw on the 93 octane stage 1 EL tune. I could definitely feel the difference over the stock tune just daily driving. Feel more power down low and the throttle response is better. After driving for a few days with the 93 tune I switched back to stock tune and that's when I realized how much the car is improved with oft.

You sure you loaded the EL stage 1 tune?

From what I've researched thats the tune that was recommended to run on a stock brz/frs.

Maybe someone with more knowledge on this could chime in? It has worked for me and the car feels great with this tune.

Oft disappointment

You are just expecting a bit much I guess.

Oft does a bit more if u have a header. But it's still an offshelf tune, don't expect too much. You would get more from a proper tune/header/e85.

I'm very pleased with mine with a jdl uel. I think I will eventually go the ecutek/flex fuel route though long term.
