Busy day - the furnace repair man was here to replace (to code) the exhaust pipe for the furnace. No, NOT TRD, but it was straight thru, double walled, sounds good -

I went down and got a haircut ($14); mrs humfrz is off to her "stylist" to get a haircut ($- I don't ask - but it will be a bunch more that fourteen dollars -

).

Time to fix the almost 3 year old's lunch, then it will be nap time!

Woke up from a phone call telling me to pack my bags and get on DTS to fly out to a satellite branch, they requested help
Ill be gone from stateside for the better part of two weeks.

Im slightly irked, because I'm on shore, this sort of thing really upsets the whole "time to recoup and get some education back under you" propaganda I was told

NOW: I am not going to complain too loudly.
1) It is hawaii (6th time I'm going via government- all expenses paid)
2) I usually accrue an income of about 1500 each time on top of normal pay
3) It's away from my current work place which I hate with a living passion ( enough to go back to a ship early)
4) Did I mention it's hawaii

On top of that, the group I am working with knows who I am from past experiences, and they are a solid group
This is one of the few cases the military pays its members for "extra" work, so I am largely fine with it. Minus Im missing out on my cousins wedding and two track days..

Im bringing a young nubbin who's never been so im sort of creating an abridged "do the hawaii" thing with him and his wife

Ive been so many times alot of the toursim thing is lost on me. But I love me some Bellows Beach star gazing, or heading up to north shore to "bash some barrels maaaan" or even people watching the waikiki beach area near the 'King. last time i went it was chinese new year so you can pick up some women ( literally 18 to 30 just throw a dart) and hang out and watch the lion dances.

There's also a few not really well known nuggets for dive spots and some good hikes.

Oh and all the sea food. one thing i miss about not being in the PNW is the sea food. San diego sea food is like..... well they try

I got pulled over today. Officer said i was doing 85. Not sure, but he let me go. I think I'm old and white enough to get that whole white privilege thing.

Just had an e4 tornado roll through here 2 blocks south 4 days ago and didn't even lag or buffer during my porno... I mean 'movie.'
