I'm looking to wrap my header this weekend. Never done it, but looks simple enough from my research. Can probably do it in my living room but figured it might make a good DIY topic or someone might want to watch and learn.

DISCLAIMER: Please don't take advantage of these days as a "install my parts for free!" day, this is a DIY day where we come together to help the teach the community how to install something. Interesting! I was thinking last night to do some investigation on some wrapping too, but for the lower front bumper instead (heat gun, cutting etc.). Also clear side markers, but that's not a priority and could try to learn it myself.

With the pictures took last weekend, I could write up a DIY guide for the intake, but probably have to ask @BRZtoni to clarify some technical terms of the part of the car instead of saying "this part or that part" lol.

i agree with what you wrote down, if the idea of having DIY at the shop dont work out we can continue to do it at my place. and we can make it every other month. text me if you wanna make it happen

and calvin, i got some stainless steel zip ties for headwraps if you wanna use it.

I have experience doing brakes if anyone needs to change out pads, lines, or fluid. I also have a motive power bleeder if anyone wants to see how that works. though, if we have multiple people, manually pumping the brakes would be way easier lol. only problem is that I live about 2 hours away from the LA area so it's a long drive for me haha.

Not a direct product of DIY day but here's a simple write up of the always-on mod for 10 series/Monogram/RS 1.0/JDM headlights I just did for @Phil_FRS today.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90497

I am in the process of writing something like this for footwell lights and courtesy lights.

anyone interested this sunday 7/5/15
I will be installing

  1. FULLBLOWN MOTOR TURBO KIT W/ Gt2871r turbo
  2. FULL BLOWN Radiator w/ slim fans and shroud
  3. Hooking up my AEM FAIL SAFE GAUGE
  4. hooking up my INNOVATE Oil temp/pressure gauge ( need to make a guide for people to know where to connect to vehicle )
I don't mind an extra hand to help or someone with knowledge on turbos to help me route the vacuum lines and etc..

I will be flashing with a DELICIOUSTUNING Flash and GO tune on ECUTEK for the time being as well.

where would you do the install? im interested to see how to install the oil temp gauge and stuff. and i can probably help out a little. I installed a vortech SC on my car so theres probably some similarity with some steps on your install like the vaccum lines.
