Can anyone comment on how the supercharger looks in person? The two pics above are different. One shows silver lettering, and the other does not. One shows the left sided attachment to the intake, and the other shows a plug.

If the lettering comes powder coated/painted then you can easily sand it off to yield the silver/polished looking letters. This would take a few minutes with a rotary sander. Since the letters are raised it's quite easy to do. I used to powder coat valve covers in my garage back in the day and I polished raised letters on most of them. If you want to be super careful you can mask off the body of the manifold to make sure you don't slip and scuff the finish around the letters. Any shop should be able to do this for you at very little cost if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

Harrop TVS1320 weight.
Hi, I'm new to this forum.
Do you know approximately how much the Harrop supercharger weighs? I'm having one installed on my 86 in a week or so, and I was just wondering whether to buy one of those Li batteries too to counteract the added weight at the front. Many thanks. |

Thanks.
Could I also just ask: if you had to do just one part of the exhaust, which would it be - which is the most restrictive element of the stock exhaust system? I'm on a limited (£1k) budget and wouldn't want it too loud. |

Yeah the header is the most effective change you could make. Each cat is the most restrictive component, but also what keeps emissions down. I'd start with a catback and wait until you could do a full exhaust, but that's just me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just realised that the question about the exhaust is kind of answered by the harrop technical review video: they are using just a 2.5inch catback exhaust with their standard build supercharged motor.
I wonder why though, if there are more restrictive parts of the exhaust system upstream. |

I'm an owner.
The kit is compatible with RacerX's catch can and the Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler. Had some issues with Customs and FedEX, just FYI, so be prepared for about ~$115 more on the price you bought it for when importing to the States. Otherwise, I'm extremely happy with the SC. It really changed the vehicle for the better. The car is ridiculously fast with flex fuel. Though friends with modified WRX's can get a launch on me, the top end just allows me to continue pulling away from them. Last edited by Trefoil; 07-28-2016 at 11:18 AM. |
