Rattling rear license plate bracket

Hi all

anyone have a better solution for the crappy rear license plate bracket? Can't stand the rattling everytime I close the boot. Tried double sided tape behind it. Works ok for now. I see you get a metal bracket. Anyone tried that?

Nothing wrong with the bracket which is screwed onto the car. Have you riveted the number plate to the bracket?

The problem lies with the way the bracket is bolted to the boot. Double-sided tape did the trick for me aswell...

yeah, done that. The problem is the top of the black plastic frame is almost touching the car. When you close the boot, it touches and rattles.

Not a trainsmash though. Just thought someone has a different way.

I use to double sided tape my plate to the car, problem solved. But with the new regulation you're not allowed.

My holder also rattles on impact closing the boot. Still bolted and plate rivetted but two strips underneath subdues the rattle on closing. A gripe but more annoyance value in reality...

Just stick the plate to the car with double sided tape. Sorted.

I think they need to be riveted but we'll see if a cop ever checks then we'll know.

this is really just to prevent the plate from rattling and hitting the paint of the trunk boot when you close it
