Does anyone have a permanent fix for this? It's annoying, especially in cold weather.
Would it be possible to do a rivnut and pan head or countersunk screw?

I was just thinking of finding a way to pop it out and throw some 3M tape back there until it was fully padded to prevent squeaking.

Are there third party dead-pedals out there?

I peeled it back on my first gen and put felt tape on the underside of the foam. Stopped the squeaking.

BMW was the first to use that style several years ago, and a bunch of other manufacturers slowly followed soon after.

But BMW are now going back to the turn signals that actually stay in position again lol.

I am pretty much used to it now, it's still strange but ultimately it works

Maybe seeing early signs of the hyperflashing issue, occasionally when I start my turn signal it'll hyper flash once then go to normal flashing

Happens maybe 20-30% of the time

Its just one of those "why?" things that car manufacturers like to do...make a simple function more complicated than it needs to be.

Just like gearshifters in automatic equipped cars....

Used to be just your traditional gated shifter, but now theres electric rotary knobs, buttons, and the joystick things that you use to shift into gear......

Whenever I drive the work truck I reach for the nonexistent shift lever.
EVERY SINGLE SHIFT

Done that a few times myself.

Worst with this particular one is when you're transferring drivers and the driver forgot to put it in Park and actually get out because it's on a very slight grade and didn't notice it very slowly moving.

I talked about this before, and finally got off my lazy bum to get a video of it.

My seat belt clip area is loud AF. If I move at all (leaning forward, looking left, hitting a bump in the road, etc.) I get this lovely sound.

Happening to anyone else. Dealer said its "normal." so I'm already having to go to corporate to whine about it. It's not the nut holding the belt clip on, its whatever is used for the angling of the driver side belt clip.

Bonus clip too, my blinker issue:

The new turn signals are mechanically simpler then the locking ones, this is the car manufacturer making a simple function more simple, not more complicated.

That seat belt noise would drive me CRAZY. Praying I don’t run into the same issue. Wonder what it is - I definitely take up a lot of space and put some good pressure on mine but I’ve never heard it squeak like that.

Wonder if you take it to a dealer if they can replace it or something, if mine isn’t doing it and few of yours are maybe some dude on the production line did something goofy accidentally

So I dropped my car off at my dealership to address the following:
- Rapidly blinking turn signal
- Creaky/noisy seatbelt clip area
- Homelink buttons non-functional
- Drivers window sometimes wont go back up (cold weather)

They said they have to contact Subaru Techline for instructions/guidance on working on the vehicle. Is that a load of bull$h!t, or are they actually needing to consult some other knowledge group?
