Delete or not delete sound generator?

Hi! I wonder why cancel the sound generator? affect performance? I read somewhere that if you cancel, low performance .... this is true?

It won't effect the engine performance. It will just reduce the cabin noise.

Delete it. Makes cabin unnecessarily louder while cruising on the freeway. Much happier after I got rid of it.

A $1 40mm PVC plug and a $1 20cm copper cap from the hardware store is better value. Or you can just plug it inside the cabin with the glove box power plug for free.

believe it or not, you can hear the engine without the didgeridoo. delete that crap.

Just deleted mine yesterday, can confirm that the car is quieter and feels the same. I did it for 4 bucks with parts from home depot.

I happen to like the extra noise. Makes the car a bit more fun. I took mine out when I put in an intake, which made it quieter when going slow and noisier when stepping on it.

Me gusta el ruido del sound generator, pero con escape modificado, no es audible. Solo tengo headers yo, y hay mucho mas ruido que hizo el generador.

Not sure why everyone seems to hate the sound generator. With a tune and a gutted stock intake, you get quite a bit of intake growl at midrange rpms with your foot more than half way down. Sounds great to me
