The stem looks like that on mine, vs rubber ones Subaru provided in stock wheels.

So they do work, just won’t show on dash for a few miles at least after programming. Give it a little time and/or miles before assuming there is a problem. You do have to select the second set of monitors via glove box after the codes are entered, dealer should do that. If they don’t, ask them to cycle via button.

Yup, this is how many TPMS systems work.
Most tire shops should know that.

Great news. The T6 is a lot cheaper than OE.

I was just able to activate, learn, and program new TPMS sensors using the Autel TS501. Worked like a charm - only took 5 minutes. The snow is thwarting my efforts to drive the car around to confirm PSI readings on the dash, but so far so good.

Awesome!
Keep us posted on whether it is a success after you test it out

thx!Just ordered four T6 sensors from tirerack and will give some updates when they were installed. I got a winter set from a 2013 WRX and the dealer told me the sensors with this WRX are not compatible with my 2022 BRZ LOL

Yesterday I went to the Subaru dealer I bought the car from to have them register my new wheels / sensors to my car.

After about a little over an hour, the service advisor tells me that they are unable to do it. He said that when they hooked up the computer to my car, it asked for the 7 digit serial # for each new sensor. I was told the only way they could do that would be to dismount my wheels and tires, take off the tires to read the serial #s, then remount and balance, and register the new sensors. Was told it would cost me $200 to do this.

I'm not concerned over the $200, but I was afraid that the dealership might possibly scratch my new wheels, so I declined to have them do this.

saluki89, I sent you a Private Message. If you can help me out, I'd appreciate it very much.

Yeah, bad news on my attempt as well. The TPMS warning light came back after about 30 miles. I have a support request in with the manufacturer of my TPMS tool - waiting to hear if they'll have an update for our car.

Oh many, sorry to hear that!
I had a hunch that when I receive my sensors I should take photos of their codes or whatever, just in case...

However, can't they just read the sensors with some tool?
I remember an America's Tire guy reading my stock sensors without taking the stock tire off the stock wheel back in the day.

Yeah, I was able to read mine through the wheel with a tool.

So since you were not able to program them. Do you think maybe you can read them with your tool, and then the dealer can use that information to program them with their computer? Or do you think they would still have to remove the tires from the wheels to get to the sensors themselves?
