Your left leg can take over the braking duties just like many of the real racing drivers these days.

But my right foot likes to do the braking while blipping the throttle at the same time

I'll just leave this here for you automatic folks who don't understand..

There's nothing to understand. Some people prefer manuals, some people prefer autos/dual clutch, some people are ambivalent. So long as you are driving what you want to drive why do you care what others drive?

Well I won't get to drive what I want to drive because this new Supra won't even come with a manual.

There's nothing to understand if you are close-minded and only care about your own opinion. Other people here have commented about not missing the manual and I am just pointing out why some people will not be happy with the automatic and why this Supra needs a manual. No need to attack me for sharing my opinion. You guys won, you are getting your automatic, so why don't you just let us manual guys vent our frustrations?

You have moved the goal posts. I was arguing your post re autos vs manuals now you have introduced a new topic of the new Supra not having a manual option.

1/ This is a public forum. That is, it is full of people's opinions.
2/ I was not attacking you; I was arguing your post.
3/ The car is an inanimate object; it does not need a manual, you want a manual.
4/ Vent all you like. The Supra does not interest me as a purchase.

By the way, if it makes you feel any better, I enjoy driving my manual BRZ.

Yay, winnars

Wait.... what.....

Pffft, just buy something else if the car isn't to your taste.

Simples.

BMW M2 manual would fit the bill

The "Supra" is a BMW anyway

I LFB all the time when racing. What makes you think people don’t LFB on a manual?

Great video! It does a great job of explaining it. The thing is most people don’t use advanced techniques while driving a manual. Most people don’t even down shift much less rev match while downshifting. The manual is much more rewarding once you learn to drive it properly.

This is where the auto guys are missing the point. Our preferred method is dying. Manual guys are not advocating the death of the auto. We are vocal in an attempt to save the manual.
