Thumbs down Driver Side Window Streak

Hi, I recently bought a FR-S and I noticed there is a streak on my window, and I wanted to see if there is a solution for that?

Thanks.

I have the same thing. I use a rag to wipe it off, but I am also looking for a more permanent solution.

Is it right in the middle of the glass? I was thinking about the taking the door and see what it was hitting it.

Yes it is. That is one of the reasons I also stray away from putting tint on the car due to the damage that streak/pressure it may possibly cause.

Mine came with tint already, but when the sun is hitting it, looks awful to me. What was your solution to it?

Haven't found one yet. I just wipe it with a microfiber cloth or just use AC all day

You're not talking about the long vertical streak that the rollers leave when it rolls the windows up and down right? Curious to know what it is (and if I've got it)

No, the streak is a hard horizontal line on the middle of the window.

I got this, only shows up when it rains or after I wash the car. One in the middle and second toward the rear.

I have this too. Also it slightly leaks in carwash just above left front door triangle glass.

Driver Side Window Streak

Attachment 120341Attachment 120342

I had this same issue with my brz. The fabric from the window stabilizers came off some how, leaving the little aluminum back piece exposed to the windows. This is by far the worst windows stabilization design iv ever seen. That aluminum piece almost dug through my window. At one point you can could actually hear it scratching the window.

I took my car to Subaru. (Not under warranty) because this was BS. This had to be a defect on some cars and they are just ignoring it. Subaru told me it was an act of God and that there was debris stuck in my window seal.... Yea BS dude. One of Subaru's part numbers is scratching the sh** out of my windows.

After dealing with them and their bs, I ended up having to call Subaru of America. The lady offered to replaced my windows for free and fix the door. But even after Subaru fixed the door they just replaced the regular window stabilizers. So I took the liberty to take the outer stabilizers out and left the inner one in the door. There are 3 of them on both doors. 2 outer and 1 inner.

I knew the problem wasn't gonna get fixed, and I knew I could have fixed the issue myself but I just wanted my windows replaced. My scratches were pretty deep. When I told the Manager at Subaru of America that this should be a recall and that I was apart of a pretty big community of the similar car with the similar problem she says... "Oh well, unfortunately we don't take an outside information from the public eye and we rely heavily on our technicians."😂😂😂 oh yeah you guys rely on your 17 year old high school techs that don't have any experience lmaooo. Whatever lady. I probably would have opened up a case if she didn't replace my windows.

My advise like I said. Take the 2 outer ones out and leave the inner one in the door. That is enough to stabilize the window.
