^^ With FRS headlights, or BRZ headlights? The FRS DRL's are the highbeam bulb and there is no right around the headlight for us unless you add it on your own.

Here's the prototype on the car. The coating came out shitty so I just hit it with flat black paint.

I'll take some better pics in the sun tomorrow. Still no air channels, I want to get the base plate right before I add them, they are easier than the main plate.

So, long time no update, but, I am making serious progress today! I hope to be complete on the prototype and showing it off during the Perrin meet this Saturday. Here is a teaser.

Keep in mind, at this stage it is all hand cut, hand measured by yours truly, it's not perfect. I did invest in a 3d rendering program so I can export the specs to a local laser cutting company and have some clean parts for future reproduction.

I am also in cahoots with a very skilled carbon fiber company to potentially make them in a solid cf or cf/aluminum mix.

I may follow your lead and do something similar. I'd be interested in your ppt sketch when you've finished it. We have some sheet metal scrap at work that I could certainly put to good use... I'm just as tempted to make one oout of carbon fiber, but that might take forever.

Wheelhaus, I am probably going to produce it in a few different ways for purchase. I'm a DIY'er so ill probably make a laser cut kit that people can rivet together themselves.

I have a local carbon fiber shop that does amazing work and uses a pressure mold as opposed to vacuum. Just gonna be a small investment for the tooling.

Last teaser until complete.

I also hate to see fake or nonfunctional parts on cars. Our "rear diffuser" drives me nuts and in my opinion, it's a critical piece of both performance and visual on a sports car.

Here is my baseplate/prototype/version 1 of my diffuser for my car. I haven't riveted on the vanes for channels yet. The "R" cutout is to clear my Perrin exhaust, the front tabs bolt in the lower bolts on the rear sway bar, this closes nearly the entire open space in the rear bottom bumper and extends about 2 inches past the rear of the car. It doesn't follow the lines of the fake diffuser on the bumper, instead it creates a clean line on the bottom, where the OEM additional "diffuser" bolts on. Putting the exhaust inside of the air free cavity.

I built a similar panel for my 2006 eclipse using the tissue paper "tabs" and a gopro for testing.

It isn't close to finished, I'm doing a wrinkle coat black on the top and I'm planning on a gritted bed liner or flat black on the road side. Might leave it bare aluminum, haven't decided. This one is all built and bent by hand. Once I'm done tweaking, I'll do a nice laser cut one and anodize or powder coat it.

I am very impressed...very fine and functional I assume. It seems similar to TRD one.
A question: can you install and drive without registration on car paper, safety issues? It' road legal in your country? thx

No legality issues here in the states! The only issues I've had with it on is slight scraping on steep driveways and the ass of the car being too sexy.
