Respray Colour Doesn't Match

My car was in a minor accident that led to the passenger door being repainted (Argento). I don't know if it's my mind playing tricks on me or if I'm just very OCD, but when i look at that side in the sun the paint blends perfectly, but if I look at it from an angle without sunlight hitting it, the rear portion of the car looks darker than the door which seems lighter. What do I do in this situation?

Clay then clean your whole car first and see if there's a difference.

the problem is that if you're not looking for it you don't notice and if I show it to the body shop they'll probably say they don't see it. However I'm 90% sure that the paint is off, but I hear that silver paint is one of the hardest to match

This is typical of metallics and siver. The "flop" of the metallic is a pain to get right so it matches correctly.

Need a better painter that's OCD about it.

now you know not to go back to that body shop in the future

i was so scared when i put my car into the body shop,
i went to a close friend, who ensured me he wouldnt let me car leave the shop if the color didnt match, metallic paints can be very difficult to match

Ask somebody that doesn't know what was painted to look the car over and tell you what was done. If they can't then your brain is messing with you and no number of repaint will ever convince it that the paint is ok. If they can tell then obviously the problem is real and you should take it back.

You can't make it out in picture because its only a touch lighter than the surrounding panels but it is very noticeable to me in certain light conditions

Yeah got my girlfriend to look at it she couldn't see it, my brother saw it right away that it looked different, and my dad took a little while but eventually saw it. I just hope that when I take it to the body shop and it's noticeable because today was an overcast day and I could barely make out a difference in the paint colour, if I wasn't looking for it I wouldn't notice. But if theres any sort of indirect light hitting it it is so noticeable to me and my brother was laughing saying it looked so noticeable. The funny part is I've been looking at this side of the car for a month trying to figure out if its in my head or if its actually different colour. Looks like it is actually a different colour tho. I'm so stressed that this issue is never gunna be fixed because who knows if they'll be able to match the paint properly

For anyone else who has had to get a respray on a panel of a car will the paint ever match perfectly or will I be stuck on this carousel forever?

But see that is the problem they know what was done and see what they expect to see. Had the same thing on a prior car and was convinced it stood out like mad. Aske a few people and not one of them could figure out what it was. In fact 1/2 of them said it was my spoiler and got me second guessing it!
