It looks like CAN bus is the answer. Delicious Tuning and Geralds Projects both have CAN bus flex fuel kits for the 22+ models.

Delicious Tuning pre-order page:

Gerald:

Gerald says the CAN bus kits for 13-20 will be available soon:

Quote:
We will be soon discontinuing this kit for the 13 to 20 cars. This issue is because ecutek has dropped support for the O2 sensor/evap inputs. We will have a updated kit that is CANBUS based that will work with the new upcoming changes in ecutek like how our GEN2 kits are. But with the appropriate connectors for GEN1. Once these go out of stock they will not go back into stock.
Hopefully DT can get one out for 13-20 as well.

Hope springs eternal!

Technically already have it ready. We are just waiting for ecutek to support it. Just yesterday ecutek also released canbus support for all sti and wrx 07+ cars. So im very sure that the 13-20 will be coming up soon. We also added a new box that will support added sensors like oil pressure, PI pressure.. etc.. so will be useful!

Has this been fully implemented?

Just finished up installing my turbo kit and was hoping to keep my flexfuel kit

not yet but its coming from what i know. they recently added the canbus support for their entire WRX/sti from 07+. So now the twins are the last subis that are needed i think...

Can I flash my 2015 FRS with an EU tune from my Tactrix then relicense the car as an EU and pick the flex fuel and cel disabling features back up?

Yes that would be possible but if car already has ecutek licience you will loose licience and need new one doing rom change.

Can help you retain licience or get those ecutek features send me a message

Won't work unfortunatly even if you find it.

The install version info is stirred on the deskey and won't let you go backwards or reinstall old versions

I have a 2020 USDM BRZ, currently stock, planning to do a catless UEL and an Ecutek tune on pump gas. Not planning to go E85 or FI. Should I also switch to a EU map with a tactrix prior to having the car tuned with Ecutek?

Could you please elaborate more on issues with the US maps?
