First, welcome!

I could be wrong but i think they are coming in in multiple waves. In my attempt to get one longo toyota in ca. Said they would have a manual i could get with delivery in mid october but would have to truck it to pa at a cost of 1k. I was able to lock in an allocated unit from a local dealer this past weekend. Hits newark 9/28 so i should have it by mid oct.

Is anyone else planning on changing their wheels to the TRD's? What size tires would you recommend? I'm going back and forth between 45's and 40's. Thoughts?

I thought the TRD (the set shown with the RS1.0 proto) are either 225/40R18 or 215/40R18. I read in another thread people say 225 in the front will rub so either you go staggered with 215 front and 225 rear or go 215 square.

I like those TRD wheels too think they look good on the car and keep that OEM look but they are a bit heavy and don't come in 17"

By the way if you squeeze things just right you can get the box from the TRD exhaust into the car!

You guys must not read very well. Plenty of people agreed with what I wrote. I think based on what I've read it depends on national and state/provincial law, and how generous your particular dealer is. Never in 14 years of buying cars in California and Maryland have I been offered the original parts for free when there were dealer added accessories. Obviously, your own personal experiences were different. Doesn't mean the rest of us are completely wrong by comparison, just that we've had our own different experiences.

Apparently you didn't read mine well either! I very clearly said "at MY dealership" and at no point said the rest of you were "wrong". Don't claim to know about "laws" on the subject but as the said at MY dealership. The buyer owns the original parts and is entitled to them. If you buy aftermarket rims/exhaust/springs/whatever next door to the dealer do you have to take the original back to them??????? Buying add on parts to replace stock parts at the dealership is no different then buying them someplace else. I didn't pay for the original parts in the stock price and extra for add ons just to have them keep the parts I paid for! Now if I ordered it at one price from the factory with optional parts or just upgraded without paying for a whole new part (and the labour to install it)that is a different matter.
Sorry you get ripped off in California and Maryland but by any reputable dealer should be giving you your parts. YOU PAID FOR THEM.

I bet some dealers will say "No it never came stock with the regular exhaust from factory, just the TRD." And some of them may not know any better if it's port installed. Just show them the photos lol

I am sure they could find a way. As Phobos says it is obvious that many do. Port installed I can see as you actually only paid once for the parts on the car same as factory installed. It is when you pay for both the car with its stock parts then extra for different parts that I would expect them given to me.

Well if you are around London when you get it I will listen for the scream of delight! And watch for it on every street! So if you hear a madman honking at you and see an orange (I mean hot lava) flash nearby pull over I want to see it! Would love to have had the r1 but got a great deal on mine and could not wait!

It depends on the port installed accessories. I highly doubt dealers would mark it up with cold cash, but you never know.

Typically, if it starts at 30k and just under 31k for a manual, then I think typical Out-The-Door prices would be around 33k-35k.

When the dealers add the clear protective film, that can potentially add up well over $1000 over the base price.
