I highly doubt any dealer would even consider this. Scion dealers makes the majority of their money off selling you accessories. There's literally no dealer benefit to a deal like that. Especially with this being a limited car, there will always be some more willing to pay that $30k than you are.

lol, the wheels MSRP are like $260 a wheel, pretty cheap for TRD quality wheels. If you're spending $30k on a car, you can afford an extra $1k in wheels.

Sounds like he shouldn't be looking at a 30k car in the first place if he's wanting free wheels

Who wouldn't want free wheels ? I do, I pretty much have the same car, fuck I'd love a free exhaust and FI kit too... Lmao I doubt he'd get approved for a loan if that 1k extra was going to make it or break it 😄

$2500 is still way to much. $600 for tires and use the stock TPMS on the new wheels. Nothing forces you to buy new TPMS or pay them to program the ECU for new ones (or any at all, for that matter). Sent from Tandy 400 Last edited by Quentin; 08-20-2014 at 08:56 PM. |

That would be right since they're 18" wheels and the standard are 17". If done by the factory the hold the old set. If at the dealer you now have an extra set of wheels and tires.

I'm curious how this works too because I've seen dealer upgraded wheels/tires and on new cars before and I didn't think the buyer kept the old set. Incorrect? Wouldn't it be mutually beneficial to the dealer and buyer if the dealership kept the stock wheels/tires to be resold by the parts department? Especially if the wheels were swapped out at the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) with plastic covering on them still and virtually zero use/wear.
