I could only imagine the turbulence through this part. And that's where they put the MAF, in what looks like a 2.25 inch section of pipe.

Damn, I thought the hump was bad on the vortech, although this thing doesn't have the crappy lumpy looking welds, it is impressive in its own way.

Nevertheless, Bob did a good job to get around it if he had to resort to SD to get it going.

Despite those numbers, still seems like turbo is a much better option and bang for your buck. Especially in the new year with engine internals being released, these superchargers are going to be maxed out around here.

If you aren't looking to spend a lot of money internals are out of the question.

And most of the point is if you want to keep that ''stock drivability'' and not denaturized the car, the supercharge is THE option.

It only depend's on what you want! If you want to do crazy number go turbo.... But that is not what the car is about!

I have no idea what that has to do with what I was saying.

Which is you aren't making big power without spending big money. Turbo is great if you want to build big and do it big.

The car is about whatever the owner wants it to be about - you sir, are not a true enthusiast. You're just trying to justify the asthmatic engine the manufacturer put in the car.

Keep it on topic guys. No need to debate turbo vs s/c since that has been done over, and over, and over, and over, and......

Why are you attacking like this? You did not get the pooint. I said just like you! You do whatever you want with your car, turbo or S/C or N/A. I don't try to justify the asthmatic engine, proof is I went F/I...

My opinions is I like the car how it act but needed more power. I didn't want to denaturized the car AND wasn't interessted in getting turbo so I choose S/C. I tried a vortech FRS and a turbo FRS and both was not acting the same way and prefere the S/C because it did not denaturized the car.

I'm not saying turbo or S/C is better or bad, what I'm saying is I made my choice on my own testing. Not on what people say on the internet...

Not a true enthusiast ? Tell me Subaru and Toyota wanted to make a turbo version that have 300+hp and I will agree with you : I did not get the point and are not a true enthusiast...

@Drift-Office stated if you're looking into one of these you should find a shop to dyno tune instead of eTuning. You should heed that advice. I drove 10 hrs on cruise control for a proper dyno tune in 2007. Other members of this forum have had their cars towed to a shop for a proper dyno tune. I cannot stress enough how important that is.
Looks like you don't really get it, AS FAR AS I KNOW there are NO TUNER in my COUNTRY that TUNE GT86.

In EUROPE that I know the only place is ENGLAND. Now do You think I could srsly drive to UK just for a tune and then at the first problem have my car grounded for ages?

So the answer to my whole question is simple: If you want a S/C and You haven't access to a proper TUNER/DYNO you should look elsewhere and buy another kit.

I understood you just fine. However, you seem to have failed to do your research. Have you reached out to ECUTek who can let you know which tuning shops are in their database? No, you haven't. As a prospective buyer, you should do your due diligence.

There are shops in your country that tune the FA20 platform as indicated on the EcuTek website.

With that being said, I don't know how close you are to any of them but they do exist which is contrary to what you are saying.
