New owner here. I've always been a big fan of Toyota, and the fr-s was no doubt on my radar for about 2 years now. Growing up my dream car was the Toyota Supra, and I always dreamed of one day owning a car like I had seen in the 90s. A lot of my favorite cars were built in the mid to late 90s, early 00's.
When the time came to get my first nice car, I bought a 2009 Scion tc in csm, it was the only thing Toyota really had to offer. Two years later I bought a Honda cr-z ex with navigation. After having exposure to the Honda tuner scene, I realized where I belonged. So I traded my creature comfort, voice commanding, touch screen navigation Honda on the modern day car of my dreams. I've followed the forums a little and have read that a few have complained about the tacky, cheap looking interior and an unrefined car - this is what I love about it. It's everything that a 90's car was, and I could not be more happy. I plan to do mods, but in no hurry. I think this car has a lot going for it as is, and won't be doing an plasti-dippin, or carbon wrapping non-sense. Also I don't think the car should be labeled or thought of as a supercar that it's not. ie, an lfa or Porsche. This is a Toyota, and with the help of Subaru it's just my car. I hope to learn a lot and contribute a lot to this community. To start, anything I need to look out for or be immediately concerned with? I'm Josh btw. 2013 fr-s 6mt in Hot Lava. |

Welcome! Great choice in color and it may be a collector's color in the long run as it's rumored that Hot Lava will be discontinued after 2013.
